Greater San Marcos Partnership – Phases 1 & 2
Siglo Group worked with Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP) and Watershed Partners to develop a web mapping tool that helps support GSMP’s Vision 2025 goal of enhancing community appeal. This tool seeks to build consensus and inform users of conservation and development opportunities within Hays and Caldwell County using a combination of 45 base layers, which include municipal boundaries and zoning, water resources, infrastructure, conserved and developed lands. The 12 analysis layers summarize park access, the amount of conserved or developed land per watershed, city or ETJ, along with population projections per city and county, the total population, population change and density of each census tract per county. Users of the tool are able to toggle layers, print the resulting map, and download the data provided to further analyze trends and discover ways to inform policy decisions.
