Siglo Group created a Strategic Conservation Plan for Hill Country Conservancy to help guide conservation priorities in the coming decades, focusing in part on preserving the drinking water supply for the City of Austin.  Siglo worked with HCC to assess a 6-county, 3.5 million-acre area using systematic conservation planning.  The process incorporated over 40 variables associated with ecology, hydrology, ecosystem services, development, and substrates.  The resulting solutions prioritized 20% of the study area for potential conservation according to variables determined to be important to the Hill Country Conservancy.
