Siglo worked as part of a collaborative team to extend the 3.9-mile Shoal Creek Trail into a 13-mile hike and bike path, which connects to the Walnut Creek Trail. The planning team was lead my McCann Adams Studio with input from Shoal Creek Conservancy staff and stakeholders, City of Austin staff, and community members.
Tasks for this project included analyzing existing conditions, along with aligning the work with relevant plans, policies, and ongoing projects in the study area. Siglo Group also supported and participated in technical advisory meetings and public stakeholder meeting. Tasks included public presentations, gathering data from the public on specific aspects of the plan, and providing key information to city staff.
The 120-plus page plan was accepted as a guiding document in 2018 and was adopted as part of the City of Austin Trail Master Plan.
